Online Services
We know that life running a restaurant is complicated enough…do you have the right menu, the right food cost, the right staff, and are your patrons consistently coming back? We help our customers with these challenges every day.
One way that many of our customers have been choosing to make their life easier is the GFS Pre-authorized Payment Plan. Here are the questions that we are most frequently asked about this convenient service:
How does the GFS Pre-authorized Payment Plan work?
We will notify you of the next upcoming payment date from your GFS invoices by your choice of either e-mail or fax. Your financial institution will then pay this amount on that due date directly to GFS. It’s that simple!
What are the benefits to me for signing up?
First of all, there’s a direct cost saving to you. Most cheques cost in the range of 50 to 70 cents to process, plus your mailing costs. Most financial institutions charge from zero to 22 cents for a Pre-authorized Payment transaction. And, since your “payables” are now always on time, your good credit rating is either maintained or even improved. Finally, if you value your time spent on the business, you can now spend it more with who’s really important – your patrons.
What about handling credits?
Credit notes can add a complication that is often missed or overlooked in the traditional payment process. With the GFS Pre-authorized Payment Plan, your credits are automatically included in your account total – either calculated into your balance due or credited to your account if no amount is owing.
How does this affect my bookkeeping?
Simply compare your GFS payment notices with your monthly bank statement to reconcile your outgoing payments. You just saved yourself more time. And if you’re going to be away from your business for an extended period, you don’t need to delegate your signing authority.
This is great! How do I sign up?
